Weekly HT Blog
Dear Parents/Carers,
It's been a busy week and I'm sure many children will be feeling tired after completing their first full week in school.
I have visited many classes and I am happy to report that children have settled in well and are having fun and working hard!
Our school educational visits are going well, and are great way of introducing a new topic and new learning to the class as well as bringing the outdoor classroom to life! Being away from school also helps develop children's confidence as they are taken `out of their comfort zone`.
Please keep an eye out for photographs on twitter to see what other classes have been up to, as well as your own childs.
Ipay
I pay is now up and running and we hope that our teething problems have been rectified. Many thanks to Mrs. Beynon whose patience was tested!
Just to remind you - Rec - Y3 are entitled to free school lunches. It is advisable that everyone creates an ipay account so that trips/breakfast club etc can be paid for in this way. If you need any help please contact the school office. Thanks

Labels clothes please!
We encourage parents/carers to label their child's uniform. This makes our life at lot easier. We recommend that parents/carers visit Stikins as they produce multi purpose labels that can simply stick and stay in place. No sewing or ironing required. By using this service and quoting School Fundraising Number : 15618 you will also be supporting our school. Click here

Child's Play
We are delighted that many parents are using Child's play. We hope that parents continue to use the great facility. The taster sessions are a good way of getting to know Steph and other members of staff as well as giving your child to take part in the activities they offer.
Important - are you working at least 16 hours a week or enrolled on a course that is at least 10 weeks in length? If the answer is yes, then you could be eligible for up to 30 hours funded childcare per week for your 3 or 4 year old - check here for eligibility
Fundraising for our school
Please help support us to raise funds for our wonderful pupils by purchasing a school lottery ticket. Please sign up here.
The next draw is : 16/9/23 and the jackpot is £25,000!!!
Dragon clothes bank
Dragon Bags is a free fundraising scheme that helps schools across Wales raise funds through textile recycling. Don`t forget we have a clothes bank in school. See the attached image for acceptable items.
Supporting this cause helps us to achieve our fundraising goals as well as diverting textiles from landfill at the same time.
What happens to the clothes?
Well, once your clothes are loaded onto our van they start a journey that could take them to any corner of the world. Different items will be more likely to end up in different climates – one thing all the clothes do have in common is that they are going to a place where they will provide affordable clothing to people who need it
