Our Topic this Term is Pits and Ponies
We launched this historical topic by visiting Big Pit mining Museum
We went underground in a cage and saw first hand what a miner’s life would be like.
A miner’s life was very difficult. Children worked down the mines from 5 years old.
We looked at evidence and artefacts . The Blaenavon census showed us who lived and worked in the village. We were able to look at the evidence and carry out our own historical investigations.

St Dwynwen’s Day we made cards and heart shaped flower bombs.
We learnt about Safer Internet Day and how to stay safe online.
