Summer 1

We launched our topic with a visit to the Furlong’s Community Gardens. Knowledgeable hosts and an interesting venue A variety of vegetables were grown

We learnt all about profit, loss, bankruptcy and taking out a loan to launch your business.

So that we could raise money for our garden area we made business’ . We raised £260 .Thanks to the whole school for supporting this event. Thanks to our parents too.

Summer 2

This term we have enjoyed our Ready Steady Cook competition.In groups we worked collaboratively to cook a healthy dish. We were given points by the judges for presentation , taste and how we worked as a team. Watch this space for the results.

As part of our novel The Secret Garden we worked out the Journey from India to England that Mary took. We looked at different routes, modes of transport and the cost of a stop over in a hotel.

We researched modes of transport . I wonder which way Mary would travel in 2024?….

We enjoyed welcoming our grown ups to share our learning .We planned the afternoon ourselves , wrote our scripts and had a very enjoyable time. Here are some pics of the event.
