There are many advantages of learning Welsh and at Ysgol Gynradd Penclawdd we are passionate about not only our learners understanding this ethos of ours but also our community. We aim to permeate this to our families and community members. 

 

Greeting members in Welsh whilst out on a village walk. Organising enrichment activities like our Twmpath encourage our families to share our ethos. Using sentence patterns of ‘ga i…’ and ‘Diolch’ whilst out shopping shows our community that if we can they can too! Giving our learners life long skills to ensure our Welsh language goes on. The impact of our Welsh mascots going home and going on adventures allows families and community members to understand the importance of our language.
