Autumn 2023

Autumn 2 has been so much fun.  We have continued to learn through our topic ‘A Child’s War’ and we have throughly enjoyed our learning opportunities throughout the term. We have created some amazing poetry this term inspired by our class book ‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’ and through our learning of The Blitz in Swansea. We have also created excellent art work inspired by the Welsh artist Will Evans. We have been excited in Science and Technology as we have learnt about electrical circuits and have been developing skills to answer our big question ‘Can we send a coded message?’ To end the term, we arranged a very special ‘Sharing the Learning’ event for parents and carers and everyone had a wonderful time - the children were fabulous and showcased their excellent learning from throughout the term.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas with family and friends and we look forward to seeing you all in the new term,

Mrs Percival and Miss Smith

Autumn 1 has been so much fun!  We have spent time getting to know each other and have had a fab time learning lots. Our topic ‘A child’s war’ has been really interesting and we had a great visit to Gwili Railway. We are really looking forward to learning more about Penclawdd and Swansea during WWII after half term. As well as our topic, we have also had great fun during our enrichment days. World Mental Health Day helped us learn more about the importance of talk to help us stay mentally healthy and Shwmae Day allowed us to further embrace our Welsh language and heritage. Our Pupil Voice groups have been established and we are currently putting together our action plans for the year. Well done to those who have been voted in 👏🏻 Have an amazing half term.
