Autumn 2023

We have had such a wonderful end to our Autumn term 2023 and are really looking forward to what 2024 has to bring!

Numeracy

We have been looking at addition and subtraction with 4 digit numbers and up to 2 exchanges. Multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 and have now started to learn about prime numbers.

Topic/Literacy

Continuing with our topic ‘Misty Mountain Sierra’, we have been reading the novel ‘The Explorer’ by Katherine Randell. We have explored lots of different literacy techniques and elements around this adventure story resulting in some fabulous work.

We have also become ethical informed citizens this term learning about Black History, Hinduism and taking part in Remembrance Day celebrations, where we made a poppy wreath using leaves collected during our forest school session.

It’s the Rugby World Cup so we have a rugby player teaching us new skills and competitive rugby tactics.

We enjoyed our October Fest disco. Do you recognise these scary creatures?
