H/T Weekly Blog

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Autumn term at Penclawdd Primary School. We missed you!

Firstly , I must share some very sad and unexpected news. Ann Lewis-Pudduck our wonderful Chair of Governors sadly passed away in the summer holidays. Ann was an experienced educator , who dedicated many years as a Governor to our school and to Llanmorlais Primary before that. Her commitment ,passion and support regarding the teaching and learning at Penclawdd Primary will be missed. We send our love to Ann`s family.

Secondly, on behalf of all the Governing Body and staff at Penclawdd Primary School, we want to express our great sadness on hearing the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The funeral will take place at 11am on Monday 19 September. As it has been declared a bank holiday we are expecting schools will be closed. We will keep you updated once we receive information from Swansea Council.

Swansea Council have issued a statement including information regarding a book of condolences - please click here.

It's been wonderful to see everyone so happy to be back at school. We have had a great start to the school year. We have a very busy term and lots of work to be done.

This term marks the official start of the “New Curriculum for Wales”.  All schools are expected to summarise and publish their curriculum offer, and you can access ours via our curriculum summary page on our website.

We are very much hoping for a “normal” year and will therefore resume our high expectations of attendance and punctuality so that your child can reach their potential.

Attendance : Nursery - Year 6

If your child is unwell and can't attend school please can you ring/email the school office or use the link on the school website to report non attendance.  Please can parents/carers of Nursery children follow this procedure too.  The link from our school website is here.
