Dear Parents/Carers
Well our classes have been extremely busy `sharing the learning` with their families. The feedback has been fantastic. We really appreciate all your support and the children are so proud to celebrate their learning with you all.
We hosted a cluster Welsh enrichment day this week for a `right rugby sing song` and our Criw Cymraeg shared our Penclawdd version of Sospan Fach with them ! We`d like to thank Dan Biggar for sending us a fab message of support.
Sharing the Learning - Nursery /Reception - Wednesday 29th March
Our wonderful Penguins will be having a market stall selling all the African gifts they have been making. The stall will be open at 11am for Nursery parents and reopens at 3pm for our Reception parents.
Easter at Penclawdd
We will be having an Easter Bonnet/Hat parade on The 30th of March for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 .Please help your child to make an Easter hat/bonnet.ALL Bonnets/Hats to be in school - Wednesday 30th March
Nursery parade is at 11am on the yard.
R, Y2 children will parade around the Infant yard at 2.40pm (please note this change of time) for parents to see wearing hats. Each class will have have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and a small Easter gift.
Year 3 - Year 6 `decorate a boiled egg` competition
A small prize will be given to the winners from each class .

Our Choir go to the Brangwyn !
North Gower Partnership Music Festival March 27th - Choir members from Y3-Y6 will be performing in the North Gower Partnership Music Festival at the Brangwyn Hall on the 27th March 2023. This event will start at 6:30pm. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased from our school office. Tickets are £2, under 12s are free.
A fond farewell...
After the Easter hols ( Friday April 24th) we will be saying a fond and heartfelt farewell to Mrs. Williams as she embarks on a new chapter. She is a much valued and loved member of staff and has been an huge impact on the lives on many children and families at Penclawdd for the last 12 years. We wish her well in her new career. On behalf of the school community- past and present, we thank her for the loyalty, dedication and professionalism she has demonstrated in her role. Please keep in touch Mrs W!

New village playground - a playground for all
Our Y6 children met with Cllr Andrew Williams last week to share with him their ideas on what they`d like in a new playground. All pupils have also got the opportunity to complete a questionnaire to share their views on what they would like.
Easter Raffle
Many thanks to Mrs. Mey Smith (Robert and Ethan`s mum) who has kindly put together the donated Easter Eggs and made wonderful hampers.Raffle tickets were sent home with children and we hope many parents / carers will return sold tickets with money.We will draw the winning tickets on Thursday 30th March during assembly.
