Senedd Penclawdd
Our Mission Statement
Senedd Penclawdd – What is it?
The purpose of Senedd Penclawdd is to give our pupils a voice. Having a School Senedd gives us ownership of our school community and shows us that our opinions are valued and listened to. It is an excellent opportunity to make a difference to many aspects of our school.
Senedd Penclawdd – How it is formed?
The children, who form Senedd Penclawdd, are chosen by the children voting, and the First Ministers are appointed by Mrs Reynolds and the Vice Chair of Governors. To become a First Minister, you have to write a letter to Mrs. Reynolds and Mr. Evans and then we have an interview with Mrs. Reynolds and Mr. Evans to help them make the decision as to who would be our First Ministers of Senedd Penclawdd. If you want to be a Minister, you have to make a poster and write a manifesto which you need to present in assembly to staff and children. Children then have to vote on who they think would be the best Ministers for our school.

Introducing our Ministers
Once the Ministers are voted for, children, from every other year group, have the opportunity to stand as class representatives. Each candidate has to tell their class why they want to represent their class in the Senedd, what qualities they have and why they should vote for them. The class then votes for their class representatives. The class representatives form part of the Senedd committee.
