I hope you have all enjoyed a restful summer and some precious time with family and friends. As we begin the 2025–26 academic year, our team is full of energy and excitement to continue building on the successes of last year.

This year we will be:

• Nurturing happiness and wellbeing – ensuring every child feels safe, cared for and ready to shine.

• Fostering a – raising aspirations and giving our pupils the tools to succeed in literacy, numeracy and digital skills.

• Creating space to grow –continuing to enhance our outdoor areas and pupil voice through Senedd Penclawdd.

We will also continue to celebrate the Welsh language and culture across our school, making it a natural part of everyday life.

Home Learning

Following parental feedback, we’re delighted to share that all home learning activities for Reception to Year 6 can now be found directly on our school website. 🌐✏️

👉 Simply click here, select your child’s class, and then choose Home Learning to access everything you need.

Our Nursery children will also be bringing home occasional little activities, stories, and ideas to enjoy together, carefully chosen to support their learning in fun and meaningful ways. 💜

We want to say a huge thank you to our incredible Friends of Penclawdd team for their amazing efforts last year. Their outstanding dedication and continued support have raised vital funds that go directly towards providing the very best experiences for our children. 💜👏

From discos to fayres, fun runs to raffles – every event has been filled with fun and fundraising in equal measure! 🎉💰

Our recycling clothes bank is situated in the school hall. Parents are welcome to drop off bags of clothes for recycling.

Welcome to Penclawdd Primary School lottery. This lottery has been set up specifically to raise money and make a difference for our children! It's a fantastic way to bring Parents, Carers, Teachers and the wider community together, in partnership with our school, and at the same time give something back. We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children - we aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as run extracurricular activities such as music, art and sport. Your support is greatly appreciated and we wish you good luck!
