๐ผWelcome back to Summer Term ๐ผ
It’s been so lovely to return and be greeted by the warm April weather, bringing a real sense of sunshine, freshness and new beginnings to the term ahead. โ๏ธ๐ท
As we move into the Summer Term together, we’re looking forward to brighter days, exciting opportunities and lots of joyful learning. For our Year 6 pupils, this is a particularly special term - their final one at Penclawdd -filled with memories, milestones and moments we’ll treasure as we prepare them for the next exciting chapter. Here’s to a term full of curiosity, creativity, happy moments and memories! ๐๐ผ
๐ A Polite Reminder About Safe Parking ๐
We are still seeing a very small number of parents and carers who are not helping to keep our children and families safe by parking in unsafe areas at dropโoff and home time.
Please remember not to park on yellow lines, zigโzags or on the pavement by the bridge, as these areas must be kept clear for visibility and safe access.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our school community safe for everyone. ๐๐ธ
๐ ๐ MRS DAVIES DID IT! ๐๐
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Mrs D officially crossed the finish line of the London Marathon! โค๏ธ
On Sunday, Mrs D turned a lifelong ambition into reality, showing every pupil in our Penclawdd Primary family that with hard work, dedication and determination, anything truly is possible.
Digging deep through exhaustion, she powered through those final miles with the Flamingoes ๐ฆฉ in her heart and the spirit of Penclawdd in every stride. What an incredible achievement and what an inspiring role model for our children.
Mrs D, you are an inspiration to us all.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to school — and see that very wellโdeserved medal!
Let’s hear it for our London Marathon hero! ๐๐
โค๏ธ A Little Love from Our Penclawdd Community โค๏ธ
Last Call – Calling All Artists!
Our Community Art Exhibition is just around the corner, and this is a final invitation to all local artists to get involved.
We are keen to showcase a wide range of creative talent from across the community. Whether you are a photographer, work with textiles, create mosaics, paint, draw, sculpt, or explore any other art form, we would love to include your work in our exhibition.
If you would like to display your work, please get in touch to reserve your spot in the hall or if you know of someone who may be interested, please pass on the message.
This is a wonderful opportunity to share your creativity and be part of a vibrant, community-led event. We look forward to welcoming artists of all kinds.
โโค๏ธ Cuppa Club Community Support โค๏ธโ
A huge thank you to our two fantastic waiters who have been supporting Cuppa Club at the Community Centre. They are a real asset - confidently taking orders, serving tea and coffee, and working hard to help everything run smoothly.
The boys showed great responsibility and picked up valuable new skills, from communication and teamwork to customer care. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school and contributed so positively to the community.
Well done both -a brilliant example of learning beyond the classroom! ๐
