π¨π³π° Well Done to Our Talented Young Chefs! π°π¨π³ - Click here
A huge da iawn to all of our talented young chefs who took part in this year's Urdd Cooking Competition.
We were absolutely blown away by the creativity, skill and effort shown in every entry. From beautifully prepared salads with a spooky twist to an amazing selection of delicious and imaginative cakes, the standard was incredibly high. The thought, care and attention to detail that went into each dish was outstanding.
Congratulations to our school winners, Florence and Mali, who impressed us with their fantastic culinary creations.
A special mention also goes to Amy and Gideon, who have successfully progressed to the next round of the Urdd competition. Not only did they qualify, but they also received the highest scores from the judges on the day - a remarkable achievement and one they should be extremely proud of.
The competition showcased so much more than cooking skills. Our learners demonstrated creativity, independence, presentation skills and a willingness to challenge themselves by trying new ideas and techniques.
We are incredibly proud of every pupil who took part. The enthusiasm, effort and talent on display were truly inspiring.
Who knew we had so many MasterChefs at Penclawdd Primary School? ππ©π³π¨π³π

We were delighted to hear Mrs Davies feature once again on Bronwen Lewis' BBC Radio Wales Welsh Word of the Week. This week's word was “dathlu”... to celebrate. πβ¨
And what a fitting word it was!
At Penclawdd, we have so much to dathlu. From celebrating Shwmae Day and our Welsh language journey, to giving thanks during Harvest, to taking pride in our Welsh identity and culture, there is always something special to celebrate within our school community. π΄π
This week also brought a very personal reason to celebrate as Mrs D became a Granny! πΆβ€οΈ A wonderful reminder that life's most precious moments are often the ones worth celebrating the most.
As we continue to support the vision of Cymraeg 2050, helping to create the next generation of Welsh speakers, we are proud to be playing our part by using and celebrating Cymraeg every day. π
A huge diolch to Bronwen for continuing to champion the Welsh language and for making us feel so proud to share our Welsh Word of the Week with listeners across Wales.
Dathlu today, Cymraeg every day! β€οΈπ€π΄
