Looking after our Easter Chicks in the Flamingo Class
🌼 Happy Easter 🐣 2026 / Pasg Hapus 🐣 2026 🌼
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another wonderful Spring Term, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been a truly joyful and memorable final week at Penclawdd Primary School.Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. It has been a term filled with learning, creativity, community spirit, and plenty of smiles-and this last week has captured all of that beautifully.
🐣 Easter Celebrations Across the School
A huge thank‑you to our amazing Friends of Penclawdd for donating the chocolate eggs for all of our Easter competitions once again. Your generosity helps make these traditions so special for our children.

We are also extremely grateful to our friends from Swn y Gan, who organised a very special appearance from the Penclawdd Easter Bunny and donated all the eggs for our Nursery–Year 2 Easter Parade. Diolch yn fawr!

🎩 Our Foundation Learning Easter Parades
Our youngest learners were a delight to watch.
- Nursery children proudly showcased their beautifully decorated hats and bonnets in the hall—an explosion of colour and imagination.
- Reception to Year 2 enjoyed a sunny outdoor parade, with lots of proud families looking on… and of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny who added even more excitement!
These moments really capture the magic of primary school life.

🎨 Eggs on Our Hill – Y3 to Y6
Our Years 3–6 pupils enjoyed another brilliant ‘Eggs on Our Hill’ celebration—an afternoon full of creativity, excitement and laughter. The effort that went into decorating the eggs was outstanding. From glittering designs to characters from books, films and musicals, every egg had its own personality. It was lovely to see pupils cheering each other on and enjoying healthy competition with such enthusiasm. Please click here to enjoy...

Each day, they bring creativity, care and passion into our classrooms/school, ensuring that every child experiences high‑quality learning and feels valued, supported and inspired. Their hard work behind the scenes-and in every moment with our children-makes our school the special place it is.
They have given so much throughout this term, and I hope they all enjoy a well‑earned rest over the holiday. Thank you for everything you do for our learners, our families and our school community.
Wishing all our families a peaceful and happy Easter break, filled with laughter, time together, and hopefully a little spring sunshine too.
