❄️ Welcome Back to PPS – Hello 2026! - Blwyddyn Newydd Dda! 🌟

Happy New Year to all our pupils, families, and community! We hope you had a wonderful festive break and are ready for an exciting year ahead.

We’ve started 2026 with a real winter wonderland – ice and snow have made the first few days back extra magical (and a little chilly!). Thank you to everyone for taking care on the school run and helping us keep things safe.

Here’s to a fantastic year of learning, laughter, and new adventures at Penclawdd Primary School. Let’s make 2026 one to remember!

 

💰 Celtic Credit Union – Junior Savers Club!

We’d love to see more young savers join our school savings bank with Celtic Credit Union. It’s a fantastic way for children to learn about money, save their spare change, and watch their savings grow!

Our Year 6 Bankers run the scheme every Tuesday morning, processing deposits and managing accounts. They work incredibly hard and even went through an application and interview process to earn their roles – real-life skills in action!

No need to worry if you don’t have cash every week – the aim is simply to encourage regular saving, even small amounts - 20p, 50p etc.

🎁 New Incentive!  Save, Learn, Win – Join Our Junior Savers Club!

Starting Tuesday, 13th January, every saver who deposits each week will be entered into a raffle. The draw will take place at the end of each half-term, and the more you save, the bigger your chance of winning a prize! 

Let’s make saving fun and rewarding.

📸 Roz and Kirsty Photography – 10th March

We’re delighted to welcome Roz and Kirsty back to Penclawdd Primary School! They will be visiting us on Monday, 10th March (morning) to take individual and sibling photographs.

Roz and Kirsty have worked with our school many times, and we always receive fantastic feedback about their friendly approach and beautiful photographs.

Please note: There is absolutely no obligation to purchase any photographs – we simply need your consent for your child to take part. (Details to follow)

👕 Uniform Reminder

Please ensure your child’s uniform is clearly labelled. This makes it much easier for us to return any lost items.

We recommend Stikins Name Labels – no sewing or ironing required, just stick them on!

Community News

Will's Petting Farm

We were delighted that Will visited our Rec/Y1 class with Whisper the owl. The children really enjoyed learning about this wonderful bird, and it really enhanced their learning of ' Splendid Skies'.

Will also applied to become a School Community Governor. We are excited to welcome him and we know he will be a great addition to the board of Governors at our school.
